Stepping Stones creative and the Gateway Group

Stepping Stones Creative were down at Salford Children's Holiday Camp just before Christmas where Ashleigh and Rhia led a lovely session with the local gateway group.

Receiving this compliment from the carers;

Arts Collaboration with Stepping Stones Creative

Salford Children’s holiday Camp is collaborating with steppingstones creative, a non-profit organisation, who uses creative arts in the personal development of vulnerable individuals. To offer, organise and deliver creative activities in the wonderful spaces inside the camp and surrounding environment.

Steppingstones creative have introduced young people, with SEND, to the camp: creating movement on the beach; designing their own Andy Goldsworthy sculptures, from materials they find scattered around; and converting the hexagonal swing frame into their own small theatre.

In November we will be holding, with Steppingstones creative, two-day workshops for local groups, where the international poet Mike Garry and CANDOCO dancer, Bettina Carpi, will be combining words and movement to create performance.
